My beautiful mother, Sue Allen, was the epitome of gracefulness, especially during the many difficult trials in her life. In 2002, my mother was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Being an extremely hard worker all of her life, she certainly gave all that she had to fight the ugly disease. Never during this battle did she complain. In fact, she continued teaching me, both by example and by gently giving advice on how to be a good wife & mother, how to be of service to others, and how to trust in God.
Unfortunately, her body succumbed to the cancer, and my sweet mother passed away on December 21st 2003 at 59 years old. As heartbreaking as it has been to lose the most important woman in my life, I will forever be grateful for those 25 years of my life with her. Her determined example, and her deep love for her family and for God will never be forgotten .
I hope to be just like her someday.
